Michael R. Bovee
Michael R. Bovee was born in Spencer, Iowa and raised on a farm in northern Buena Vista County, Iowa. Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree, with distinction, from Iowa State University. Mike graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law with highest distinction. During law school Mike was a member of Phi Delta Phi and was elected to the Order of the Coif. During his law school matriculation Mike also served as a summer law clerk for the Honorable William C. Stuart in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.
Mike practiced with the Des Moines, Iowa law firm of Swift, Brown and Winick n/k/a Brown Winick from 1976 to 1980. Mike then returned to Spencer, Iowa where he has practiced with the firm of Montgomery, Barry, Bovee, Steffen and Davis, LLP, and its predecessors, for thirty-five (35) years.
During his career Mike has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Iowa, the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eight Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa and the District of Nebraska.
Mike's legal practice emphasizes business, tax and estate planning, real estate, trust and estate administration and civil litigation including motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, personal injury, products liability, will contests, probate disputes and agricultural disputes.

Jill M. Davis
Jill Davis was raised on a farm outside of Pocahontas, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 2000, with degrees in finance and economics. After working for a year in the finance field, she returned to Iowa and earned her JD and MBA from Drake University. After graduating from Drake in December of 2004, Jill was admitted to practice law in Iowa in 2005. She began her legal career as a law clerk for the 3rd Judicial District of Iowa. She went on to practice at the Cornwall Law Office for ten years before joining MBBS&D. Jill is admitted to practice in Iowa state and federal court. She is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, and serves on the Board of Governors for the Iowa State Bar Association as well as the Iowa Association for Justice.
